Services Offered
QCOL makes a wide array of services
available to its subscribers, with plenty of flexibility so that you can
custom-design the package that's best suited to you. In fact, we offer so many
different services that we decided it was best to offer
online signup only for a
standard dial-up account and let you call us for pricing on any specific package
you may wish to put together for yourself.
Here's a list of what's currently offered:
Dial-up accounts - Dial-up accounts provide you with the right to one
modem connection to the Internet at any given time. Click
here to see our dialup numbers. Having more than one modem
connection active at any given time (if you have two computers, or someone is
using the account away from home) is not allowed. You will also receive one
e-mail address that will be your dial-up username followed by "@qcol.net."
Also included is one secondary e-mail address and personal web space, you can
set these up by clicking on the "Member Services" link on the menu. You will
need your username and password to access the member services section of our
site.
Web page accounts - A web page account provides you with 5 Megabytes of
web space for posting a personal web page. Extra web space (in 5Mb increments)
and Microsoft Frontpage Extensions support are available as options, at extra
cost.
E-mail accounts - We offer additional e-mail accounts to our subscribers.
If you have a standard dial-up account or web account, your e-mail address will
be of the form username@qcol.net. If you have a domain hosted by us, your e-mail
address will be username@yourdomain.com.
Domain Hosting - This gives you or your company a prominent presence on
the web, with a domain of your choosing, such as your-domain-name-here.com, and
several common hostnames under that domain, such as www, ftp, and mail. You will get 5 Megabytes of web space and two
e-mail addresses with a domain account, plus a discount on dial-up access. Internet domain names are
on a first come, first served basis, so reserve your domain name through us
today! We can handle the registration paperwork for your domain from start to
finish, while you retain full ownership of your domain, and are free to move it
to another server at any time. We can also take over hosting of a domain you've
already registered, if you'd like to move it to our server. Additional options
include dial-up accounts, additional e-mail addresses, extra web space (in 5Mb
increments), additional hosts under your domain (Maybe you'd like a hostname of
JimBob.your-domain-name-here.com?), and even password-protected web server
statistics pages, updated nightly!
